Fire Risk Assessments for business

Fire risk assessments are a legal requirement for companies with 5 or more staff. It's also good business sense to complete an assessment, as companies often don't recover from a fire.

TNE Electrical can provide your company with a fully qualified and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to regularly survey your company premises. We will carry out full assessments in accordance with the law for fire risk assessments. If required we can also carry out a health and safety assessment at the same time to save you time and money.

Our certified assessors will identify all potential fire hazards for staff and visitors within your premises. From this we will produce an evaluation of the fire risks. We'll suggest solutions to mitigate these risks, to gain legal compliance, make your working environment safer for staff and visitors and protect your property. All our assessors are members of The Institution of Fire Engineers.

Upon completion of the assessment, if we can assist with any services required to implement our recommendations, we will send quotes for the work, helping to keep you compliant and take the stress out of finding companies to complete the works.

Fire exit stairs and sign

In England and Wales, if you're an employer, owner, landlord or occupier of business or other non-domestic premises, under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, you're responsible for fire safety and are known as the 'responsible person'.

As the 'responsible person' you must:

  • carry out and regularly review a fire risk assessment of the premises
  • tell staff or their representatives about the risks you have identified
  • put in place and maintain appropriate fire safety measures
  • plan for an emergency
  • provide staff information, fire safety instruction and training

The risk assessment should be reviewed regularly, or if any changes are made to the layout of your premises, or if you move offices. Contact us today to discuss your requirements - we're happy to help.
